Shop opening hours; display of an individual shopping night on a working day

Service content

Description of the
Sales outlets can organise up to four individual open nights on weekdays from 8 p.m. to midnight at the latest. This requires notification to the responsible municipality. The municipality in which the sales outlet is located is responsible.

Points of sale are
- Shops of all kinds,
- stalls and other sales facilities if goods are permanently displayed for sale to the public from a fixed location, and
- Sales facilities of co-operatives.
On the following days an individual open night is not possible:
- on a Sunday and on a public holiday;
- also not on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Holy Saturday, the Day of Prayer and Repentance, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and not on the day before Whitsunday, All Saints' Day, Remembrance Day and the Sunday of the Dead
Prerequisites
You are the owner of a sales outlet in Bavaria and would like to organise an individual open shopping night on a working day.
Deadlines
The notification must be made at least two weeks before the planned opening.

Procedure
You can notify the competent authority of the planned opening informally, stating the day and the extended opening hours or - if available - using the online procedure or form provided.
