Description of the
The Places of Assembly Ordinance provides for the possibility of temporarily using premises that are not actually intended or authorised for that purpose to hold events.
If events involving more than 200 attendees are to be held in premises that are not authorised as assembly venues and do not comply with the provisions of the Assembly Venues Ordinance, this must be reported to the local building control authority.
Notification is not required if the premises have already been approved as a venue for gatherings and the approval covers the type of event in question. Where events are organised on a voluntary basis, a single notification is sufficient for regularly recurring events of the same nature.
Prerequisites
The temporary use of premises for an event with more than 200 attendees must be notified if
- the premises do not comply with the provisions of the Places of Assembly Regulations and
- No planning permission has been granted for the premises to be used as a meeting room, covering the type of event intended.

There is no standard deadline applicable throughout Bavaria for this type of notification. However, this should be agreed in good time with the relevant local building control authority.
