Description of the
A motor sport event that is not to take place exclusively on public roads requires a safety permit from the district authorities, independent cities or major district towns.
Permission must be refused if this appears necessary to prevent risks to life, health or property, or to protect the general public or local residents from significant disadvantages or nuisance, or to prevent significant damage to nature or the landscape. The same applies where other provisions of public law preclude such an event.
To protect these legal interests, the district authorities, independent cities or major district towns may issue orders on a case-by-case basis.
For motor sport events that are to take place exclusively or partly on public roads, only a permit under road traffic law from the competent road traffic authority is required, or such a permit is required in addition.Prerequisites
An ‘organiser’ in this sense is any person who, through organisation and management or in any other significant way, creates the conditions necessary for the event to take place and be carried out. In addition to naming the organiser, the application must in all cases include details of the nature, venue and time of the event, as well as the number of participants to be admitted.
Deadlines
None; however, it is advisable to submit the application for a licence at an early stage.
"The complete application for a licence must be submitted to the competent authority in good time so that it has a reasonable period in which to assess whether the licence can be granted."
