Description of the
If you make a donation of money or goods to your local authority, it may issue a donation receipt provided that the donation is intended to support tax-deductible causes. The donation receipt must be issued on an officially prescribed form.
A donation receipt from the local authority is not required if the donation does not exceed 300 euros. The tax authorities accept the cash deposit slip or the bank’s transaction confirmation as a donation receipt.
Since the 2017 tax year, donation receipts and supporting documents need only be submitted to the tax office upon request.
