A few days ago, another open-access bookcase was installed in Kitzingen. As part of Language Week, it was officially unveiled on 2 May right next to the Aplawia shop on Lochweg. The bookcase is available to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is stocked with books from the department store – as well as the occasional game, jigsaw puzzle and/or soft toy. It is now the eighth such bookcase in the town. There is already an idea for another location for next year. Astrid Glos thanked Aplawia and its managing director, Sebastian Därr, for their excellent cooperation over the past few years. Together, they have set up several bookcases in the town during this time.
The Kitzingen Language Week runs until 13 May. Among other things, there will be readings for children and adults, theatre performances and a large book flea market on Saturday 9 May, from 10 am to 2 pm at the municipal library. The full programme is available at www.stadt-kitzingen.de
